Hi, I'm Marilyn and this new blog is a New Year's goal completed! I have been trying to start this for 6 months. My New Year's goal was to start this by the end of January. It still is January, right??? I know, just barely, but here it is....my first post! Ta-da!!!
January has been a very busy month and I'm excited to share with you some of the things that I have been doing.
You probably have seen a number of Bye Bye Love Bags by Sara Lawson of Sew Sweetness, the January pattern from the Bag of the Month Club. This club features a new bag from 6 different designers that arrive in your email on the 1st of the month, January - June. It is not too late to get involved. If you join later in the program, you will receive the patterns you have missed.
Here is my Bye Bye Love Bag...
I used a home dec fabric for the bag and a faux leather for the strap and pocket background. Here is a close up of the pockets...

and the very large interior with 2 slip pockets on each side.
This is a fun to make bag with lots of room to hold everything you can possibly need to take with you. Can't wait for bag # 2. Bring it on!!!
In the mean time, I need to learn all of the things that I can do with Blogger. A little at a time...
