I was a tester for Chris W Designs' new Pick A Pocket Wallet and I just have to admit it ... I think I am obsessed with it. I just completed my sixth one! Already have fabric picked out for five more but I have an order and a test bag to do before I can continue down this wallet path. It is not surprising that I love this pattern. I love all Christine's patterns. Great instructions and pictures are a part of all Chris W Designs patterns and this one is no different.
The other great part is that are actually two inside designs to choose from. Both styles have a zippered coin section, 3 slip pockets, a phone pocket, and an ID window. Then you have a choice of 12 slot pockets or 4 slot pockets and another zipper pocket. All of that in a 7.5" x 3.5" x .5" wallet. Here is one version.
Here is the other version.
And the rest....
I, also, decided to try the Decovil 1 that Christine suggests. I had to order it from Germany. I ordered through Amazon from TOKO KurzWaren. Thanks, Christine for introducing me to this awesome new stabilizer. It makes such a difference. Love it!
Wow! You really went to town on that one! :) Every one of them looks fantastic! looks like a great pattern.
ReplyDeleteThanks, you know I love it when I stick with sewing so many in a row.
DeleteI'm impressed.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kathy. The last two I tried to sew at the same time but that works best when they are the same colors. All I did was change thread and bobbins!
DeleteLove your wallets! Very industrious. Enjoyed your blog comments, can't wait to jump in and make some, but I need to go to church first. I really do need to order some decovil, but will make at least one with what I have on hand because I don't want to wait!!!! Thanks for the inspiration.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Judith. I'm glad I tried the Decovil. We really don't have anything like it here. It is thin but has great strength and body. I thought it seemed a little expensive but I made the Penny Inn from it and all 6 of the Pick A Pocket Wallets from it and have barely made a good dent in the piece I have. I have a few other bags I will try it in. Christine says she put it in a Necessary Clutch Wallet.
DeleteYou didn't even need to say that you love this pattern just show us all you've made. LOL. Is obvious you love it. It is great! They look awesome and I'm sure you'll soon be getting orders for more.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Norma. Have to finish some orders so I can get back to them.
