I was lucky enough to test another of Chris W Designs Easy Street Patterns, her third in this easier, quicker pattern line. This one is Chloe's Court, and it comes with two options for the front flap and, yes, I just had to make both of them. I loved the hardware on both options so I had to include it, but, this bag can be made without it.
Here is the first option. It is a clutch/shoulder bag that closes with a hidden magnetic closure that attracts the metal of the large oval handle to keep the bag closed flat. It has a removable chain strap.
When you open the bag, you will see a zippered pocket compartment. The contrasting fabric is a large slip pocket that closes with a magnetic snap. It is large enough to hold the largest of phones.
Inside the zippered pocket are 4 card slots and a slip pocket behind them.
The tree fabric has silver metallic in it and makes it look very dressy. Again the hardware attaches to a hidden magnet to close flat.
In case you want to know what the back looks like, it is the main fabric.
You can get Christine's new Chloe's Court pattern here and go here to see other testers' bags. The completed bag measures 11"W x 6 3/4" H.
I got the bag front hardware from Janelle at Emmaline Bags.
I love Christine's patterns and this one is no different.
I saw these in your fb feed. Awesome sauce.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kathy. I really love the bling on these bags
DeleteAnd we were lucky enough to have you test it, too, because if you hadn't, we would have really missed these beautiful versions. The blues are so pretty--wasn't it a while ago you were saying you didn't use much blue? You've done an outstanding job of implementing it. :)

Thanks, Krista. Yes, funny about the blue. I guess I go in spurts and don't know why I don't pick it more often...but I think I'm starting to. Actually bought two more blues yesterday!
DeleteThey are both stunning! They look very elegant. Love your fabric choices. I must get some of that interfacing. I saw a video of a bag made with it and it really made me want it. Can't find it around here.
ReplyDeleteI had to order online. I got mine from https://www.ericas.com/sewing/lazygirlinterfacing.htm I will be ordering more soon.
DeleteBeautifully professional looking!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words, Daryl
DeleteBoth are absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for mentioning Stiff Stuff. I've never used it but may have to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Candy. This was my first time using it. It just bounces back nicely after being scrunched..
Deleteof all the wallet/ clutch patterns you have made, this one is my favorite! I love the tree fabric too. Perhaps you can mention the fabric designer's name as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments, Imazz. This tree fabric is called Snow Festival by Hoffman Fabrics. The medallion fabric is from Quilting Treasures called Moonflower Daisy.
